Profile

My name is Christy, and I am a Colorado Native. I believe that anyone who wants to can build wealth through home-ownership regardless of their history.  Real Estate has always been a passion of mine, and I love working with anyone who is looking to buy, refinance, or just ask some questions.

Professionally:

My professional career started at the age of 15, working as a part-time teller at a bank in my hometown.  Moving up to assistant branch manager, I worked at that bank for six years.  From there I accepted a position at a larger bank looking to expand their footprint to Colorado.  I helped to launch their first location in Downtown as well as setup operations at the branch.  After a short period, I was recruited to a mortgage company operating in Colorado.  It was at this company that I fell in love with real estate.  I helped with on-boarding new clients, manage relationships with FHA, Fannie Mae, and the credit bureaus, and assisted with post close responsibilities as well as quality control audits.  After four years of employment, the owners decided to retire, and I moved back to banking.  Working for a private wealth bank in Colorado, I helped manage the bank’s branches, oversaw the information technology group, and assisted in the build-out of two new locations in the heart of Downtown Denver.  After two years, I knew it was time to get back to my passion for real estate.  Armed with an incredible wealth of knowledge, I started my journey with American Pacific Mortgage.  It is rewarding to help individuals either buy a home or improve their financial situation.  My career has been diverse, but I believe that the wide variety of knowledge I have helps me relate to all clients and allows me to understand all sides of the buying/refinance journey.

Personally:

As mentioned above, I am a Colorado native.  I was raised in a small town outside of Evergreen and, once I turned 18, I moved to Denver.  I am a voracious consumer of intelligence and believe that knowledge is power.  I hold a degree in accounting from CSU and am in the process of finishing a second bachelors in Information Technology as well as a masters in Finance from the Graduate School of Banking.  Outside of my schoolwork, I enjoy running.  In 2017, I ran seven half marathons in an effort to raise awareness and money for the American Institute for Cancer Research.  My Father passed away from cancer when I was 17.  Therefore, health and wellness are of high importance to me.  My goal for 2018 is to run a full marathon and, I have my eyes set on the Boulder Ironman for 2019.
